Following on from the story which appeared on the CAFE web site (see http://www.cafefootball.eu/en/news/celtic-creates-extra-spaces-disabled-fans), Representatives of the SDSA visited Celtic Park on the 14th February to view the new wheelchair area for home fans. The new viewing areas are displayed in the group of photographs below.
Also you will see pictures of the new accessible toilet (there are another 2 in the area) and kiosk. Adjacent to the viewing area is a lounge area fitted with wide screen televisions for disabled Celtic fans to use before and after the match, with after match catering also available. Celtic F.C. and the CDSA, who worked closely throughout the project, are to be congratulated on the facilities and also on ensuring sightlines are good by closing down the two rows of seats immediately in front of the wheelchair area.
