Dougie McInnes Secretary Jags Disabled Supporters’ Club recently provided report on progress made at Firhill ” I am delighted to report that Thistle were successful in obtaining grant funding from the Scottish Football Partnership for improvements to be carried at Firhill in the accessible areas and that most of work has now been completed. This included providing wheelchair access to the Aitken Suite (within the old Main Stand on Firhill Road), badly needed resurfacing work at the Disabled Entrance and the installation of an accessible toilet in the newer Jackie Husband Stand. Although there is no wheelchair access to the Jackie Husband Stand at the moment, I am hoping that Thistle are planning to install facilities at some point soon when cost and design issues can be overcome. However I am absolutely delighted at the ramp being provided for the Aitken Suite as hopefully we will be able to hold our meetings there and perhaps host a future SDSA meeting”
