The SDSA are very pleased to welcome Gordon & Stuart Speirs as the first new members to join on line via our new web site. Gordon has told us a bit about himself and his son Stuart.
“Stuart has cerebral palsy and has been a wheelchair user all his life. I have been a Clyde supporter since I was a small boy and between 1968 and 1972 I went to as many home and away matches as I could. I joined the RAF in 1972 and left in 1994 and settled in Elgin. I am a qualified SFA referee and regularly ran the line in Highland League matches up to 2002. I still referee but only at schoolboy level and in the Elgin Boys League. I also organise primary school football in Moray. I still like to go and see Clyde whenever I can along with Stuart however Stuart is a big Celtic fan. Both Stuart and myself try and go to all the Scotland home matches and recently went to Wembley, where we had a great time! The accessible facilities there were fantastic! “
